Licence compliance
UK Telematics makes it easier to support driver compliance regulations. With an ID fob linked to driver’s licence details and credentials, you can be alerted if a driver ID and credentials don’t match with the vehicle category. Real-time reporting allows for monitoring of drivers’ hours and ensuring that they are taking their statutory breaks. In cab driver identification options also include NFC / RFID Smart Cards so that Enterprise organisations can utilise their own organisations issues ID cards as the driver login media.
Duty of care – driver behaviour
Harsh driving events recorded from vehicle accelerometer, plus information on speeding, revving and idling recorded by CANbus can be collected by UK Telematics to provide real-time data on driver behaviour. This information allows you to see the areas for improvement and further training, reducing the risk of accidents and provides a duty of care to your employees and to other road users.
Managing disputes
If an incident or accident occurs, UK Telematics records and stores all journey data that you have selected to monitor. You can easily conduct an “activity search” using different criteria such as vehicle, driver or date. Should a dispute arise from a customer regarding time spent on site, UK Telematics provide you with an accurate and verifiable record of journey history.
Safety check completion
UK Telematics allows you to keep track of vehicle safety checks with solutions ranging from simple in-cab acceptance buttons up to local level DVSA approved safety check and defect reporting solutions. Drivers can access a safety checklist via a mobile device and any defects are reported instantly and easily. Live alerts and full historic reporting ensures full compliance whilst reducing administration.
Driving hours
Staying compliant with driving hours regulations is made easy with UK Telematics. Our Electronic Driver Identification solution ensures that the driver is tagged against the vehicle for every single journey. If the driver changes vehicle, the drivers hours are carried between vehicles with driver orientated reports to ensure peace of mind and full compliance for the Fleet Manager.
Specialist operations
UK Telematics can be fitted to a wide range of specialist equipment and vehicles, and can provide important information on how it is being used, the hours of usage and whether certain activities have been performed or not. Not only can this provide smart data to help ensure fleet efficiency, but also ensure that your operators and vehicles are compliant. Solutions range from simple PTO / Telemetry monitoring of compatible vehicle systems up to vehicle specific solutions such as gully tanker equipment monitoring, tower hoist solutions, mechanical sweeper solutions, ride-on-mower solutions and many other solutions, all accessible through the single UK Telematics web based interface.
Blue light monitoring
Emergency vehicles must comply with certain speed restrictions depending on whether the blue light is on or off. UK Telematics records and stores this activity, which can help with compliance reporting, as well as evidence in any disputes
Temperature monitoring
By installing up to 4 temperature probes on each vehicle, you can quickly and easily monitor controlled temperature zones in refrigerated vehicles. UK Telematics can be used to collect temperature and humidity data in real-time for all frozen, refrigerated and ambient vehicles and trailers. Alerts will immediately notify the user if the temperature rises or falls from the permitted temperature range. This allows you to operate a safe, reliable and efficient coolchain, ensuring temperature-controlled goods are handled correctly and remain at the correct condition.
Power Take Off (PTO) monitoring
We monitor PTOs for on board systems. Each time a relevant integrated system is activated or de-activated, an event is created and shown on the web based interface in real time. This provides proof of work, utilisation data for better planning and improved health and safety planning for a wide range of applications. Examples may include and are not limited to bin lift counts, mechanical sweeper brush usage, tower hoist in use, door open, use of specialist light e.g. hazards or blue lights.
Plant and asset tracking
Plant and asset tracking is available to assist with the management of equipment which may be field based or remotely based. Receive regular location updates for plant and assets such as trailers, compressors, generators, welfare units or any other non-powered portable equipment.
